StreetVoxer — Feature Gallery

StreetVoxer is a WebGPU browser engine that renders the real world as interactive 3D voxels — walk, drive, and build in a voxelized version of any place on Earth, generated on the fly from satellite imagery, elevation data, and building footprints. The shots below are captured automatically from the live engine.

Earth from orbit

Planetary-scale spherical world Earth from orbit — A free-camera view from roughly 7,600 km up, looking almost straight down over the Gulf of Mexico.

A free-camera view from roughly 7,600 km up, looking almost straight down over the Gulf of Mexico — the whole planet rendered as a sphere, the curve of the horizon falling away into the star field. The same engine that draws street-level voxels renders the entire Earth from satellite imagery and elevation when the camera pulls back to orbital altitude.

Crater Lake caldera

Water bodies + high-relief terrain Crater Lake caldera — An aerial free-camera view over Crater Lake, Oregon.

An aerial free-camera view over Crater Lake, Oregon — the deep-blue caldera lake ringed by steep rim cliffs, showing how the engine renders water bodies set into high-relief AWS elevation terrain.

Aerial free-camera over the Great Plains

Terrain elevation + satellite imagery Aerial free-camera over the Great Plains — the satellite-imagery-textured terrain mesh built from real-world elevation data.

A free-camera view across the Kansas Great Plains — the satellite-imagery-textured terrain mesh built from real-world elevation data, rendered at maximum tile zoom.

Charleston peninsula from the air

OpenStreetMap building colors + footprints Charleston peninsula from the air — the dense grid of OpenStreetMap building footprints extruded over satellite-textured terrain.

A mid-altitude free-camera view northwest across the Charleston peninsula — the dense grid of OpenStreetMap building footprints extruded over satellite-textured terrain, with OSM building:colour / roof:colour tags tinting the building mesh where mappers recorded them.

Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor

Coastal OpenStreetMap structures + harbor water Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor — its pentagonal walls rendered from OpenStreetMap footprints amid the harbor water.

A low free-camera view over Fort Sumter, the masonry sea fort at the mouth of Charleston Harbor where the Civil War began — its pentagonal walls rendered from OpenStreetMap footprints, set on its island amid the harbor water and satellite-textured terrain.

Voxel water on the Charleston waterfront

Translucent voxel water (OSM water carve + L1 water material) Voxel water on the Charleston waterfront — translucent blue voxel water fills the basin carved from the OpenStreetMap water polygon.

A near-water free-camera view along the Charleston peninsula's Ashley River waterfront — translucent blue voxel water fills the basin carved from the OpenStreetMap water polygon, drawn as 1 m water voxels through the transparent pipeline so the satellite-textured shore and terrain read through it.

Charleston street level, character mode

Ground-level character view + near-field building voxels Charleston street level, character mode — near-field OpenStreetMap buildings rendered as chunk voxels at ground scale.

A street-level character-mode view in Charleston's historic district near the Four Corners of Law — the near-field OpenStreetMap buildings lining the block rendered as chunk voxels at ground scale, where the player walks the street under a star-filled sky.

Photo projected onto the Charleston County Courthouse

Photo-to-voxel projection (auto-sourced OSM → Wikimedia) Photo projected onto the Charleston County Courthouse — a real photograph projected across the 3D voxel geometry.

A real photograph projected onto the voxelized Charleston street — the engine reads the courthouse's OSM tags, follows them to a freely-licensed Wikimedia Commons image, and projects it across the 3D voxel geometry (facades + pavement) from a recorded projector pose.
